Bellingham volleyball defeats Lynden Christian in four

Bellingham defeated Lynden Christian 19-25, 25-21, 29-27, 25-22 in a Northwest Conference volleyball game on Tuesday, Sept. 18, in Bellingham.

"I was really impressed by their play tonight," Bellingham coach Kim Bjorklund. "They were really steady and never gave up."

Bellingham came back after losing the first game to win the final three.

"We passed better and served better," Bjorklund said.

The Red Raiders were led by Anna Zeegers with 11 kills, Olivia Halverson with 17 digs, four aces and seven kills and Cari Pearsall with 31 assists.

Bellingham is now 2-1, 2-0 NWC and will play at Meridian on Thursday, Sept. 20, while Lynden Christian (1-2, 1-1 NWC) will host Mount Baker.
