The Bellingham girls' swim team defeated Lynden 112-58 in a Northwest Conference meet on Tuesday, Sept. 18, in Bellingham.
"I was very pleased with the meet today," Bellingham coach Jeff Anderson said in a phone interview. "We had 66 best times today. I have never had a meet that productive. It was almost as if everybody swam their best every race."
Kaia Johnson, Maddie Gillman, Emma Brice and Anna McNabb swam the 200 medley relay 10 seconds faster this week than last week for Bellingham.
The 400 freestyle relay team of McNabb, Grace Dahl, Madeline Cassar and Johnson beat their time by 12 seconds and swam a 4:27.99.
Lynden was led by Hannah Hollander who swam the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:46.43 and the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:12.70. Sarah Hollander swam the 100 butterfly in 1:14.93 for the Lions.
Lynden fell to 0-2, 0-2 NWC and will play at home in a non-conference meet against Archbishop Murphy on Thursday, Sept. 20. Bellingham improved to 1-1, 1-1 NWC and will play at Sehome on Tuesday, Sept. 25.
