Finger scores four goals for Mountaineers girls' soccer

Sarah Finger scored four goals to lead the Mount Baker girls' soccer team to a 5-0 victory Tuesday, Sept. 18, at home over Friday Harbor.

"She did a great job," Mountaineers coach Brenda Ellis said in a phone interview. "Sarah did a great job of creating opportunities for herself."

Jessa Baisden had a goal and assist, India Hines added an assist and Jamie Johnson had five saves in goal for Mount Baker, which improved to 2-3-1 overall on the season.

"I think we played a good team game and the girls played with great energy," Ellis said. "It's nice to get a win going into Thursday's game against Lynden Christian."

That game Thursday, Sept. 20, is at 4:30 p.m. and hosted by the Lyncs.
