Guinness World Records has made it official: Bellingham performer Justin Therrien set a world record in May for "longest string passed through the nose and mouth in one minute."
Therrien, who goes by the stage name JustinCredible, set the mark May 15 during a Bellingham Circus Guild Vaudevillingham show at Depot Market Square.
The previous record of just over 59 feet was held by Luo Yan of China. Therrien broke the record by far more than a nose, pulling 255 feet, 2 inches, of latex tubing through his nose and out through his mouth within 60 seconds.
"It sure feels good to know that no one in the world pulls string through their nose and mouth faster than me," Therrien said in a news release.
