Lynden Christian defeats Blaine in volleyball

The Lynden Christian volleyball team defeated Blaine 25-16, 25-9 25-14 in a Northwest Conference match on Thursday, Sept. 13, in Lynden.

Lynden Christian was led by Karley De Jager with eight kills, Cassie Mulder who added seven kills, four aces and five digs and Madison Weg who had 27 assists.

"I was a little bit worried about a letdown after the Lynden match," Lynden Christian coach Kim Grycel said in a phone interview. "But it was nice to get a first conference win and get that first win in the books."

Lynden Christian improved to 1-1, 1-0 NWC while Blaine dropped to 0-2, 0-1 NWC.
