Sehome beats Anacortes and Nooksack in boys' cross country

The Sehome boys' cross country team defeated Anacortes and Nooksack Valley in a non-conference meet at Lake Padden on Wednesday, Sept. 12.

Sehome scored 17 points and was led by Reed Henderson with a time of 13 minutes, 40 seconds.

Anacortes scored 48 points and Nooksack had 79.

Henderson was followed by Kirby Overman with a time of 13:50 and Liam Toney at 13:55 for the Mariners.

"It was an overall great team performance," Sehome coach Kevin Ryan said in a phone interview. "We're pretty happy to have six of the top seven without one of our top runners racing."

Nooksacks top finisher was Stephen Dietz at 14:36, and Sam Backman of Anacortes finished at 14:12.
