Ferndale loses to Anacortes in boys' tennis

Ferndale lost 6-1 to Anacortes in a Northwest Conference boys' tennis match on Wednesday, Sept. 12, at Anacortes.

Trevor Koehn and Taylor Walton gave Ferndale its only win at No. 1 doubles against Jay Kiessen and Garett Manion 6-3, 7-5.

"That was the first match that they have played together and they came away with our only win of the day," Ferndale coach Rudy Vendiola said in a phone interview. "I think the games were all pretty close and the team competed well though."

Ferndale fell to 0-3, 0-3 NWC and will host Lynden on Friday, Sept. 13.
