Outlook: The Storm may not have qualified anyone for the Class 2A State Tournament a year ago, but Squalicum got a year older and coach Joe O'Brien likes what he's seen from his group so far in practice. Seniors and co-captains Zach Hart and Aaron Morris give Squalicum two strong, tested players. Morris led the Storm in winning percentage last year with a 6-6 record in doubles matches, and O'Brien expects the duo to make a formidable doubles team this year. James Tan, Avery Wolfe and Tavo O'Connell are others O'Brien said are looking strong, and Kevin Smiley and Drew Segren are two promising up-and-comers. "We're coming together pretty well," O'Brien said in a phone interview. "The guys have been feeling good and have been gelling. It's been good to see."
