The Sehome girls' soccer team scored their first four goals in 16 minutes on their way to a 5-2 win over Lynden Christian in a Northwest Conference match on Tuesday, Sept. 11, at Northwest Fields
"I thought it was a good game," Sehome coach Andria Fountain said in a phone interview. "We are still working out a few kinks but we are focusing on what we need to do as a team. We finished well, we didn't take many shots on goal but we did a good job of finishing the ones we did take."
Sehome improved to 2-0 while Lynden Christian dropped to 1-1.
Hannah Mankle, Teya Mischaikov and Kate Pererson each scored one goal for the Mariners and Emily Webster scored two.
"We had good effort from a lot of people and different people scored the goals," Fountain said.
Both of Lynden Christian's goals were scored by Lexi Vander Griend.
