Sehome falls to Anacortes 3-1 in volleyball

The Sehome volleyball team lost to Anacortes 21-25, 25-22, 25-23, 25-21 in a non-conference matchup on Tuesday, Sept. 11 at Sehome.

"I thought our girls played phenomenal," Sehome coach Kristy White said in a phone interview. "Anacortes doesn't make a lot of mistakes so that made it tough. We have been fighting with injuries and sickness and I am really proud of how the girls stepped up into some new roles."

Kendra Thomas had 25 digs, Megan Greer had 35 assists and Katie Becker had 13 kills for the Mariners.

Sehome (0-1) will next play at home against Sedro-Woolley on Thursday, Sept. 13, in its conference opener.
