Lynden sweeps doubles in loss to Anacortes

Lynden swept the doubles matches but lost to host Anacortes 4-3 in Northwest Conference boys' tennis action on Monday, Sept. 10.

The loss dropped the Lions to 1-1.

Lynden had doubles wins from Jay Roper/Mikal Olson at No. 1, Luke Reardon/Toby Dalla Santa at No. 2 and Trevor Dalla Santa/Brock Benner at No. 3.

"Once again the doubles play has been really good," Lynden coach Trey Ballard said in a phone interview. "We ended up on the short end of the stick.

Anacortes won the four singles matches.

Lynden hosts Burlington-Edison on Wednesday, Sept. 12.
