Outlook: Coach Linda Bode is still getting use to her team, and for good reason. A number of new faces from Lynden, Lynden Christian and Nooksack Valley have joined the Lions. Lynden is led by senior Hannah Hollander, who has qualified for the Class 2A State Tournament all three years she has swum with the Lions. She is an extremely versatile swimmer Bode can plug into any void in Lynden's lineup. Shelby Umbaugh is another strong swimmer Bode can build her team around. "Shelly is our main sprinter, so I'm looking forward to her and her helping us out in the sprint area," Bode said in a phone interview. Hannah Hollander's younger sister, Sarah Hollander, is a freshman Bode said will make an immediate impact on the team. "We are an extremely young team, but I have been pretty impressed with how they are doing" Bode said.
