The Sehome volleyball team started its season with a 25-29, 25-12, 25-22 victory over host Ferndale in non-conference action Thursday, Sept. 7.
"Sehome came out and was really strong," Ferndale coach Patti Hoelzle said in a phone interview.
The Golden Eagles were led by Elise Larson's six kills. Hoelzle also gave credit to libero Taylor Reid and setter Abby Reid for strong play.
"We just need to work on transitioning on our offense and finishing plays," Hoelzle said.
Ferndale next plays at the Squalicum Invite on Saturday, Sept. 8, while Sehome plays at the Sundome Invite on Saturday, Sept. 8.
