Once again the politicos are playing fast and loose with the truth in their quadrennial battle for the electorate and I believe any resemblance of the Republican exaggerations to fact is purely accidental.
While one side of the GOP mouth claims Social Security will remain unchanged for those over 55, the other side voices 33 congressional votes in an attempt to repeal existing senior benefits from President Obama's affordable health care act. As for those under 55, I believe death panels setting the most profitable voucher rates will gut their old-age health care guarantee.
Sadly, the GOP's mortal manipulations of Social Security are totally unnecessary, removing the Social Security contribution ceiling and basing contributions on all income is a simple and painless solution, only the rich benefit from those aberrations in the law anyway. Why should the average worker in this country have to pay 200 times (that's right 200 times) as much of his or her income towards Social Security than Mitt Romney? I believe anyone consciously voting for a Republican is guilty of severe self-abuse.
