In this age of political posturing, it is important to think about the issues facing us in Whatcom County - good jobs, good education, a healthy environment and a sustainable quality of life are a few of those issues.

After studying the candidates for State Representative in the 42nd District, I have come to the logical conclusion that Natalie McClendon is the only choice!

Natalie represents common Whatcom County values of cooperation, generosity and working together to solve problems. She is smart, efficient, hard working and fair. Natalie is a good listener and a critical thinker who will work to promote solutions, not just spout ideological rhetoric!

On education, Natalie recognizes the problems of overcrowding and limited resources. She is also keenly aware that our children deserve better in order to be ready for the job market. As a small business owner, she understands how businesses grow and thrive. She knows what it takes to grow an economy and how to invest in infrastructure and people. Natalie understands the challenges of economics and environment, the balance between beliefs and compromise, and the difference between moving forward and marching in place.

I strongly urge all critically thinking citizens to study the issues, study the candidates, and cast your vote for Whatcom County. Elect Natalie McClendon as our State Representative from the 42nd District.
