Free jazz concerts return to Bellingham's waterfront Saturday, Sept. 8, at Tom Glenn Common near the Hotel Bellwether for the second Bellwether Jazz Festival, a partnership between the Port of Bellingham and local nonprofit The Jazz Project.
The music starts at 1 p.m. and goes until 7 p.m. with performances by the Thomas Marriott Quartet at 1 p.m., Blues Union at 2:30 p.m., Crossing Borders at 4 p.m. and Carlos Cascante's Tumbao at 5 p.m.
The free event will have food vendors and a beer-and-wine garden ($5 entry fee includes one drink). Bring your lawn chairs and blankets to spread out on the grass and enjoy the music.
