Food, dancing highlight Bellingham Greek Festival Sept. 6-9

BELLINGHAM - St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Church will host its annual Bellingham Greek Festival Sept. 6-9 at the church at 510 E. Sunset Drive. Parking and admission are free.

The festival will run from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and noon to 7 p.m. on Sunday.

Festivalgoers can enjoy live music and dancing, but the big draw remains such traditional Greek dishes as baklava, spanakopita and tiropita. Food prices vary; buy tokens for food as you enter the festival.

The church will offer tours and will raffle prizes from various sponsors, including free rounds of golf and gift certificates for area restaurants.
