Outlook: Nooksack Valley may not have had a strong season in terms of wins and losses, but the Pioneers steadily improved as the season went on. New coach Valentin Villalobos will look for that continued progression to carry over to the beginning of the season. Goalkeeper Abi Mondragon and Courtney Edwards will be missed, but defender Melissa Stadt and midfielder Morgan Perry give Villalobos two seniors who can replace the leadership lost from a season ago. Tori VandeHoef and Payton Linville are two attacking players Nooksack Valley can count on to generate a few more goals. Senior Anna Schorr is another player up top capable of producing. Sabrina de Bont and Brittney Passe provide strength along the Pioneers' back line. Postseason positioning will be harder for Nooksack Valley, given the move of Blaine and Mount Baker from Class 2A to 1A.
