Former Blaine High School standout Joey Paciorek hit a solo home run in the ninth inning to help the Brevard County Manatees beat the Daytona Cubs 6-5 in a Class A Florida State League game on Thursday, Aug. 30.

Paciorek, who is in his sixth season in the Milwaukee Brewers' minor league system, went 2 for 4 with the homer - his first of the season - and two RBI in the game.

Now playing catcher for the Manatees, he is hitting .245 (45 for 147) with eight doubles, 11 runs scored and 26 RBI.
