Apparently, Mitt Romney is a free market capitalist. At the same time, he says he is going to create jobs. How does a guy who wants government out of the private sector intend to use government to create jobs in the private sector? He might say he is going to get government out of the way by reducing regulations on business. Of course, we have already tried that. What were the results? The regulations (Glass-Seagull) governing big banks which were put in place to prevent another Great Depression were repealed in 2000. In addition, the Republican president, George W. Bush, governed like Republicans often govern, by letting his appointees heading regulatory agencies go light on enforcement. The result was the Great Recession, which wiped out millions of jobs. So when Romney says he will create jobs, take it with a grain of salt until he comes up with something believable. After all, if President Obama could create jobs, wouldn't he do so?
