Lynden Rodeo comes to town, featuring breast cancer awareness night Aug. 25

The eighth annual Lynden PRCA Rodeo offers action-packed performances at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Aug. 24 and 25, at the Northwest Washington Fair and Event Center, 1775 Front St.

Among the events: team roping, steer wrestling, saddle bronc riding, bareback bronc riding, bull riding and barrel racing.

Tough Enough to Wear Pink is Saturday night to bring awareness of early detection of breast cancer ( toughenoughtowearpink.com).

Miss Lynden Rodeo 2012 is Mount Baker High School graduate Shanli Dillard.

Free parking is available on the grounds. Camping is available, as is a beer garden for ages 21 older (gate admission is required for entry). General admission is $13, with special packages available.
