First Federal has opened a new Bellingham lending center at 1313 E. Maple St., Suite 230, near Boomer's Drive-In.

The lending center will focus on mortgage and commercial lending, according to a company press release. Dwight Jeppson, who has worked in the industry in Bellingham for more than 20 years, is the company's vice president and commercial relationship manager.

First Federal has served the north Olympic Peninsula since 1923 and has branches in Forks, Port Angeles, Sequim and Port Townsend, along with a lending center in Poulsbo. For details on the Bellingham branch, call 800-800-1577.
