Whatcom Women in Business recently announced the 30th annual Professional Woman of the Year finalists.

The finalists are Elizabeth Boyle, owner of Decorating Your Life; Linda Crawford, program director for Bellingham Technical College; Wendy DeFreest, owner of Avenue Bread and Deli; Carmen Dolfo, women's basketball coach at Western Washington University; Lisa Holleman, executive vice president and chief financial officer for Peoples Bank; and Lisa Karlberg, owner of Bellingham Alive magazine.

The award winner will be announced at the 30th Annual Awards Dinner and Auction. The event starts with a silent auction at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 23 at the Bellingham Golf & Country Club.
