Bells lose in Game 2 of playoff series with Wenatchee

The Bellingham Bells lost at Wenatchee 4-1 in the second game of their best-of-three West Coast League playoff series on Sunday, Aug. 12.

The loss put the Bells and Wenatchee in a winner-takes-all Game 3 on Monday, Aug. 13, with the winner advancing to take on Corvallis for the WCL title.

Bellingham had tied the game at 1-1 in the second inning when Kai Hatch scored on a bases-loaded walk. The Bells were unable to score the rest of the game while Wenatchee put up three runs in the sixth inning.

Jared Fisher started for Bellingham and gave up four runs in six innings with four strikeouts. Hatch was 2 for 4 with a double and run scored and Johnny Farrington was 2 for 4.
