Celebrating "the car that changed the way we drive, and the aircraft that changed the course of a war," Bellingham's Heritage Flight Museum at 4165 Mitchell Way, near Bellingham International Airport, hosts 85 vintage and modern Ford Mustangs and up to three P-51 Mustangs in the annual show of flying and static aircraft displays.
The kickoff event, for people 21 and older, begins at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 17, and features wine and beer, plus music by Chico's Paradise. Admission is $25.
The family-friendly Car Show and Fly Day is 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 18. Suggested donation: $5 adults, $3 children. Details: heritageflight.org, 360-733-4422.
