Portland's The Foghorn Stringband is among the bands that will play at the 12th Annual Subdued Stringband Jamboree, opening at 3 p.m. Thursday and running through midnight Saturday, Aug. 9-11, 2012 at the Deming Logging Show Grounds, 3295 Cedarville Road, near Nugents Corner.

Bluegrass-lovers and square dancers can enjoy three nights and two days of picking, singing and stomping at the 12th Annual Subdued Stringband Jamboree, opening at 3 p.m. Thursday and running through midnight Saturday, Aug. 9-11, at the Deming Logging Show Grounds, 3295 Cedarville Road, near Nugents Corner.

Among the performers: Petunia and the Vipers, Joy Kills Sorrow, Polecat, The Foghorn Stringband, Cajun Country Revival, Robert Sarazin Blake, Pretty Little Feet, Rattletrap Ruckus, Peter Blake & Mountain Thyme Misty Flowers, Biagio and the Argonauts, The Bellingham Circus Guild, The Ames, Lindsey Street, John Elliott, Smokewagon, Joel Ricci, Matt Gordon, The Librarians and The Daffodils.

Families are welcome. A $45 weekend pass covers admission Friday and Saturday, but not Thursday, although weekend pass holders get a reduced rate of $10 (vs. $20 regular). For details on camping and a full schedule, see stringbandjamboree.com.
