LYNDEN - Bakers young and old take note: entries for the "Make Tracks to the Fair" decorated cake contest are due Thursday, Aug. 9, by noon.
Cakes should depict the theme "Make Tracks to the Fair" and be 9 inches by 13 inches or smaller. Only one cake entry per person is allowed.
Entries should be turned in to the Mt. Baker Rotary Building at 1775 Front St. between 10 a.m. and noon Aug. 9.
The contest is free to enter; all entrants get free admission to the Northwest Washington Fair.
The top three cakes will be displayed at the fair Aug. 13-18, and the grand prize winner will be featured on the Northwest Washington Fair website and receive a gift basket.
All cakes will be donated to the Lynden Community Center.
