Jeff Coston, who is head golf instructor at the Jeff Coston Golf Academy at Semiahmoo Golf and Country club, shot a 64 to win the Senior Oregon Open Invitational Thursday, Aug. 2, at Wildhorse Resort and Casino in Pendleton, Ore.
Coston birdied the last hole to beat Lon Hinkle by one shot. The 56-year-old Blaine golfer shot a 71 and a 67 during his first two days of the Open.
The win marked the fourth time Coston has won the event. He also won the Washington Senior Open in June and will compete in the 94th PGA Championship Thursday, Aug 9, through Sunday, Aug 12, at The Ocean Course in Kiawah Island, S.C.
"It was a lot of fun," Coston said in a phone interview. "I really savor, as I get older, winning tournaments."
