Bellingham's Black Drop to offer coffee delivery service

Published: July 30, 2012

Starting Tuesday, July 31, The Black Drop Coffeehouse will begin offering delivery service to a five-block radius of the downtown Bellingham shop on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8 to 10:30 a.m. The delivery will be at no extra charge, and customers will be able to pay for their orders by coming in to put money on a pre-paid account at any time during the week.

Co-owner Stephanie Oppelaar will be doing all the deliveries on foot, which is in keeping with the Drop's effort to be an environmentally sustainable business, according to a company news release. Orders will start being taken at 7 a.m. when the shop opens, and will start going out on the half hour at 8 a.m. The last delivery run will start around 10:30 a.m.

A full explanation of how the ordering system works, how to place an order, and how to load an account with money can be found at the Black Drop's website at blackdropcoffeehouse.com or on the shop's Facebook page.
