July 22, 2012

Lee and Toni Brooks are celebrating their 50th wedding Anniversary! The were married in Burbank, California on June 16, 1962.

Lee and Toni met in Burbank CA, married and lived for three years across the street from Toni’s parents. They moved to Van Nuys, CA before settling in Bellingham in 1973 in Toni’s Grandparent’s cottage on Lake Whatcom. They lived in Bellingham for 21 years and moved to Kennewick for the next 12 years. Five years ago they moved again and currently reside at Train Mountain in Chiloquin, Oregon as well as Sun City in Arizona.

Lee drove trucks for 42 years and "his right arm is worn out"! He thinks he sifted gears about 1,000 times a day! They remodeled 6 beautiful homes during their marriage and did most all the work themselves. Toni lived many years in homes "Under Construction."

Their children are hosting a celebration in July at their youngest son’s home, Rodney Brooks. Their daughter Jody along with her husband Bill are coming from Burbank and the eldest son Rick and his wife Maryann will make the short trip from Sedro Woolley.

Lee and Toni have three grandchildren, Jessica Brooks (Bellingham); Kelly & Ellyse Kusch and Kevin Kusch (all from Burbank, CA)
