Whatcom People: County students receive honors, scholarships

- Baylee Hoey of Bellingham has received a $20,000 Provost's Scholarship to attend Trinity Western University, in Langley, B.C. The daughter of Gretchen Hoey, she is a graduate of Zacchaeus Learning Opportunities and of Whatcom Community College, through the Running Start program.

- Addison Stumpf, a freshman majoring in math and history, was named to the spring-semester Dean's List at Hillsdale College, in Hillsdale, Mich. A homeschool graduate, he is the son of Paul and Ramona Stumpf of Lynden.

- Colton Laughlin of Ferndale has received a $1,500 scholarship toward his education from Nuts, Bolts & Thingamajigs, The Foundation of the Fabricators & Manufacturers Association, Intl. Laughlin plans to attend Bellingham Technical College and major in welding technology.
