There is something very wrong with how we elect judges. Two judges are in my sight for the position, that's where I hit a brick wall. They cannot ask for money, I agree! They cannot say, are they conservative or liberal, I disagree! They cannot voice how they stand on past political issues, I disagree! The only thing we the people can judge them on is, are they friends, go to same church, went to the same school or at a social event that cause them to be liked, so it comes down to a popularity contest. Let's try to change the rules so we do not have to look so hard to find the real person behind the name
Legislators please take heed, we need rules changed so voters have something solid to judge contestants as to who they are. Judges have to deliberate on what was presented to them and the laws on the books.
I can become obsessed with finding the true soldier, I have nattered both candidates to find truth or fault. Not easy to pick a hummingbird from the roost, to place my name out as a strong supporter. At this point it goes to Carrie Coppinger Carter as judge in Superior Court Whatcom County.
