Reader poem: 'Spring Equinox'

Published: July 16, 2012

Just as the apple

wrinkled to brown,

softened with more than

the reddening

number of suns,

so you my pear

will blossom to yellow

when this winter of trees

falls from

our breath, and your limbs

will become

a bowl of fresh fruit

waiting to be.
