SUDDEN VALLEY - A man suspected of driving recklessly and evading police was arrested Saturday, June 30, after allegedly ditching his car in Sudden Valley, according to the Whatcom County Sheriff's Office.

Police received several complaints about a reckless driver when a vehicle matching the description was first seen by a Lummi Nation Police officer in the 2400 block of Lake Whatcom Boulevard at about 7:40 p.m., said Undersheriff Jeff Parks.

Deputies found the car ditched inside Gate 3. A police dog tracked down three juveniles who had ran from the car, and Jake Harden, 20, was found in a home on Sudden Valley Boulevard.

Methamphetamine, a scale and small plastic bags were found in the car.

Harden was arrested for investigation of obstructing, fleeing the scene and methamphetamine possession with intent to distribute.
