Bells earn win at Walla Walla

The Bellingham Bells earned a 5-1 West Coast League victory Saturday, June 30, at Walla Walla.

In the fifth, Jonny Locher doubled in a run, Andrew Ely sacrificed in a run and Nathaniel Causey doubled in two more.

In the top of the ninth, Jarel Lewis doubled in a run.

Bells starting pitcher Jared Fisher gave up one run on six hits in eight innings to earn the win.

The Bells play a doubleheader at the Cowlitz Bears, starting at 5 p.m. Sunday, July 1, in Longview. The games are a makeup of last week's rainouts.
