Course for renters offered in Bellingham

BELLINGHAM - Registrations are being accepted for a free six-week class called Financial Literacy and Renter Education.

The Opportunity Council offers the class quarterly to teach people how to budget their income, set financial goals and restore credit. It also includes lessons on leases, landlord-tenant laws and finding a home.

The class meets from noon to 2 p.m. every Tuesday, from July 10 to Aug. 14 at 1111 Cornwall Ave., Suite C. Register by July 9 at 360-734-5121, ext. 210.

The class is only offered in English. Child care is not provided.
