Many good people, Tea Party members included, write about wanting the Gateway Pacific Terminal because of needed jobs.

Was it not jobs that made us approve and allow Georgia Pacific's paper mill to contaminate our bay with toxic poisons, like mercury? Now we are outrageously spending to clean up their toxins.

Of course the history does not record the sickness and loss of sea life I believe Georgia Pacific caused.

Unfortunately, the same scenario could happen with the Gateway Pacific Terminal and with the trains that already travel through our county.

Only the danger is even worse than Georgia Pacific as it is not just lead and mercury that is polluting our air, water and life forces. It is the highly toxic cadmium that we do not feel or see until it poisons us with cancer and other diseases, even though is a tiny quantity. So, well-intentioned Gateway supporters, tell me you want Goldman Sachs and the Koch brothers, whom we have already spent our money on bailing out, to kill us with cancer and destroy our environment. Are you really ready to trust them?

We will have jobs cleaning their mess up if we have not died of cancer.
