A level III sex offender has moved to a new address in the 5100 block of Meridian Street in Bellingham, according to the Whatcom County Sheriff's Office.
JJ Daniel Chilcote, 24, has convictions for first-degree child molestation and fourth-degree assault with a sexual motivation.
When Chilcote was 15, he forced a 10-year-old boy to make sexual contact with him. That incident didn't come to light until 2007, when Chilcote was 19 and facing charges for attempting to remove the clothes of a 13-year-old girl he'd just met and forcing a 16-year-old girl to have sex with him. While in prison for those convictions, he received two infractions for indecent exposure.
Level III sex offenders are those considered most at risk of re-offending.
Chilcote has brown hair and blue eyes, weighs about 110 pounds and is a little over 5 feet tall. He has a tattoo of a cross on his right forearm and a tattoo that says "Git-R-Done" on his right upper arm.
