Bells lose in ninth inning at Corvallis

Corvallis' Caleb Whalen knocked in the winning run in the bottom of the ninth and the Knights beat the Bellingham Bells 3-2, on Tuesday, June 26, at Corvallis in West Coast League action.

Bellingham's Jarel Lewis had two of the Bells' five hits, singling in a run in the fourth and hitting a solo home run in the sixth.

Andrew Olson, Bellingham's starter, gave up five hits and no runs in six innings of work. Reliever Keith Zuniga took the loss, working the final two innings.

The two teams face off again at 6:40 p.m. Wednesday, June 27, at Corvallis.
