In 2005, the Arizona Wing of the Commemorative Air Force brought its B-17 Sentimental Journey to the Heritage Flight Museum, at 4165 Mitchell Way near Bellingham International Airport, for the first time. The plane will return for another visit about noon Thursday, July 5, with tours and flights open to the public in the restored and crewed aircraft, through Monday, July 9.
Reserve your spot now, as the flights and tours often sell out. Admission is free to the museum, tours of the B-17 are $5; and 30-minute flights in the B-17 are $425 to $850.
