Schrader's night at Skagit Speedway rained out

Published: June 24, 2012

For the second straight week, the Northwest Washington "summer" weather has forced Skagit Speedway to cancel a showcase event.

The victim on Saturday, June 23, was the Wild Wild West Modified Shootout, which was supposed to feature NASCAR Sprint Cup Series veteran Kenny Schrader. No makeup date was announced.

The cancellation comes less than a week after the final night of the Jim Raper Memorial Dirt Cup was postponed until Aug. 30, one night before the World of Outlaws are expected to make a two-night appearance at the track.
