BELLINGHAM - Police are looking for a man suspected of robbing the Walgreens on Sunset Drive early Thursday morning, June 21.

The suspect was white, about 5-foot-10, with dark hair and a medium build, said Bellingham Police Sgt. Jason Monson.

At the time of the robbery he was unshaven and wearing a dark colored zip-up hoodie, Nike T-shirt and blue jeans.

The man approached a clerk just before 2:30 a.m. at the 1070 E. Sunset Drive store and said he had a weapon. He took an undisclosed amount of money and ran south through the parking lot, Monson said.

Officers were unsuccessful in tracking the suspect with a police dog, Monson said. A U.S. Customs and Border Protection Air and Marine Division helicopter aided in the search.

Anyone with information about the suspect or robbery is asked to call Detective Mike Mozelewski at 360-778-8825.
