Bellingham gas prices continue to decline

Gas prices continue to drop in Bellingham.

The average price for a gallon of gas was $4.19 in the Bellingham metro area on Friday, June 15, according to AAA Washington. That's down 18 cents from a week earlier but is still up 25 cents compared to a year ago.

Bellingham's gas price remains the highest among major metro areas in Washington. The next highest is in Seattle, at $4.11 a gallon. The least expensive gas among metro areas was in Spokane, at $3.90.

Diesel prices also continue to drop. On June 15 the average price was $4.04 a gallon in Bellingham, down 22 cents from a year ago. Bellingham's diesel price was the second lowest among Washington's major metro areas; Vancouver had the least expensive at $4 a gallon.
