Bellingham's Porter, Tran compete at BorderDuel Track Classic

Bellingham's Alyssa Porter and Chantal Tran competed in the BorderDuel Track Classic in Portland, Ore., last weekend.

Porter was first in the 100 meters and tied the meet record with a time of 12.21 seconds. Porter also was second in the 200 meters in 25.20.

Tran was fifth in the 100 with a time of 12.67.

Both runners were part of Bellingham's 4x100 relay team that set a state record a the Class 2A Track and Field Championships.
