Giant Mount Rainier, although more than 60 miles away, looks as if it's on the outskirts of Seattle in this telephoto image taken January 20, 1962. The Seattle World's Fairgrounds is pictured at lower right. Towering over the fairgrounds is the 600-foot high Space Needle with a revolving observation platform and restaurant on top.
