BELLINGHAM - Two centers that offer activities to people with developmental disabilities will operate under the same roof beginning next month.
Marianne's House, a daytime activity center for adults, will move next week from its current home at First Christian Church, 495 E. Bakerview Road, to a space at 1210 Bay St. already occupied by the Max Higbee Community Recreation Center. The center just moved to the Bay Street location and began providing its after-school and weekend activities for developmentally disabled teens and adults earlier this month.
Marianne's House transition director Melinda Shenk seeks volunteers to help with the move, especially on Tuesday, Feb. 28. To volunteer, contact Shenk at 360-201-9508 or melinda.michelle@yahoo.com.
