BELLINGHAM - A drunk college student heading home to fall asleep mistakenly entered a different home less than a block away and fell asleep in a stranger's bed, according to Bellingham police.

The resident of the home, which is along the 4000 block of Consolidation Avenue, returned home early Saturday, Feb. 19, to find the unknown man asleep in her bed. Police got the call after 10 a.m.

The man apologized and agreed for pay for damages he caused, according to police. The woman didn't want to pursue criminal charges.
