An Oak Harbor man was arrested after he allegedly kicked in and shattered an entry-way door at the Edgewater condominiums in Bellingham early Tuesday, Feb. 21.

Officers were called about 1:30 a.m. to the condominiums, 472 South State St., after reports of a man banging on doors and screaming, said Bellingham Police spokesman Mark Young.

At one point, the man broke the glass entry-way door leading to a commons area, causing about $1,000 in damages, Young said.

Police found 22-year-old Jon Mikel Johnson, who appeared to be intoxicated, at the condominiums, Young said.

Johnson was booked into Whatcom County Jail on suspicion of second-degree malicious mischief and first-degree trespassing.
