Backs Bellingham coal-free initiative

Concerned about toxic diesel particulates, noxious coal dust, and trains blocking access to emergency vehicles when you need them most? Currently the structure of government is to regulate (meaning to control, normalize, standardize) and permit (meaning to consent, sanction, and give blessing to) what I believe to be this dangerous proposed coal terminal. The Coal Free Bellingham Initiative suggests something different than regulating and permitting. It offers "we, the people" effected by this terminal and coal trains the opportunity to simply say "no." It's time to stand up to corporations that I believe are intent on destroying our community for their profit. Back the Coal Free Bellingham Initiative. I know I do.
