A 19-year-old Bellingham man turned himself in Friday, Feb. 10, after allegedly punching another man at a house party last month, sending the victim to the hospital.

Mitchell Joseph Farley showed up uninvited at a party at an apartment in the 3000 block of Taylor Avenue with about eight others on Jan. 27, said Bellingham Police spokesman Mark Young.

Several people at the party began arguing and it quickly turned into a fight, Young said.

Farley allegedly punched another man who was taken to the hospital for his injuries, Young said.

Farley's father drove him to the jail where he turned himself in and invoked his Miranda rights, Young said.

He was booked into Whatcom County Jail on suspicion of second-degree assault.
